Just like a whirlwind that gathers momentum, the news started
spreading on social media that the former governor of Lagos state,
Babatunde Raji Fashola, allegedly spent N78.3million (USD 400,000) of Lagos tax-payers’ money on his personal website.
The report has been generating hot debates and mixed feelings among Lagosians and Nigerians in general.
While some are perplexed how the former governor could have approved
such a whoopy sum for personal website, others view it as an attempt to
dent the image of the governor.
A particular respondent view the allegations as a ploy to deem
Fashola’s chance of being elected as a minister by President Buhari.
